Okay, so I went ahead and joined this strange new world known as PaidVerts. It is a unique and new PTC that claims to “Pay in Dollars”. Now THAT is interesting enough to make any PTC user want to check it out. Watch out though; their system does not work in the usual way that sites like Clixsense and Twickerz do.
First of all, you need to accumulate what is known as BAP or Bonus Ad Points. You then use these to gain access to paid ads and earn your money. Here’s the catch:

I’ve been using this money making site for the last year or so. It’s called Post Loop and the concept is simple; you sign up for membership on a forum or blog, make a post or comment and then you get paid. You are literally getting cash money for what you probably do in your spare time anyway.
Some people are claiming that they make up to $10 per hour. I believe them, even though I only make about $5 or $6. I believe them because it is most definitely possible to be quite prolific at banging out comments and thoughts, especially if you have a lot of opinions and are knowledgeable on many different subjects.

Let’s ban the social ritual of asking every stranger we come into contact with, “How are you?”
It’s inane. It doesn’t mean anything. Do you really truly care how the clerk at the pet store or the hostess at the steakhouse is doing? Don’t you just really want him/her to ring up your stuff, bring you to your table or show you where the light bulbs are and then continue on with your own business?
People who know me or read my blog know that I work part time online and part time at a grocery store. I have been a cashier going on nine years. Sigh. It’s not my favorite part of the day, but it keeps a roof over my head and dinner on the table. I appreciate that I’m not unemployed. I’m grateful that I am able bodied and clear of mind enough to get up every morning and go to work and I don’t want to complain about it, but… (but I’m going to anyway…) Read more

I recently logged into my Helium account after…at least 6 months and surprise, surprise, they are closing down. Here is the notice I found:
NOTICE: The Helium Publishing 360 sites will continue to be available on a read-only basis until December 15, 2014. During this period, if you have an existing Account, you will continue to have access to your Account and accrue potential Minimum Amount Threshold, but you will not be able to add more articles to the Helium Publishing 360 sites or create a new Account. If you have attained the Minimum Payout Threshold, which currently is set at $25.00, we strongly encourage you to withdraw your Minimum Amount Threshold because the Helium Publishing 360 sites will terminate on December 15, 2014 and you will no longer have access to your Account.
Well, maybe it’s not such a surprise. I pretty much saw this coming after they updated their system and moved all the articles and “reinvented” themselves. Personally and selfishly I was happy with the old system and quite frankly I wish that they had just kept things as they were because I was building a nice article base there that was beginning to show potential. Bottom line: after they made changes, my earnings went down.
